Most Stable Platform

It starts with the fact that our technology is built native on Salesforce.com. Our applications are hosted on the Salesforce.com and Amazon AWS platforms, which set the standards for uptime. We use multiple Tier 3+ datacenters to offer high performance and availability.

High Availability by Design

SUMO has fully redundant fail-over architecture, which ensures no risk due to hardware failure. Furthermore, our database design is setup with real-time mirroring, multi-tenancy, and load-balancing, to provide streamlined operations. Our technology is closely monitored in real-time with notifications necessary to ensure rapid response to any potential impact in performance or availability.

5-Minute Upgrades

Our platform technology undergoes scheduled maintenance, including frequent security patches and minor enhancements, which are typically performed after hours. Although your organization should expect to experience a disruption of up to five minutes, the interruption is typically one minute or less. Users receive an error message letting them know that the service is unavailable during the upgrade, and are prompted to log in again when the upgrade is complete.

Incident Readiness

All SUMO employees receive ongoing training to identify and respond to any potential downtime in the most rapid and effective manner possible. Should a system outage arise, it will be escalated to the most senior staff and our incident response team will remain committed until absolute resolution is achieved. Root cause analysis and incident reporting is recorded and reviewed by our leadership to ensure continual process improvement and response times.

Disaster Recovery

In collaboration with our technology partners at Salesforce and Amazon, we maintain a Disaster Recovery plan that supports a robust business continuity strategy for the production services and platforms. This plan has been developed from industry-accepted methodologies and encompasses principles of high-availability engineering, including full system backups daily, failover systems, multiple hosting sites, and more. The Disaster Recovery plan is constantly measured against strict regulatory and governance requirements, and is a crucial part of the acceptance plan when making changes or additions to the production environment.
